Calculator Data

The zodiac calculator processes your birthday entirely in your browser. The birthday you enter is converted to a zodiac sign by client-side JavaScript (the calculation engine is bundled with the page) and the result is displayed on your screen. The birthday is not transmitted to our servers, not stored in our logs, and not associated with you in any way. If you reload the page or close the tab, the data is gone.

Because the calculation is client-side, your birthday never leaves your device. This is a deliberate design choice; your birthday is personal information, and we don't need to collect it to give you a result.

Analytics

We use lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are visited and which tools are used. The analytics data we collect is anonymous and aggregate: page URLs, referrers, approximate geographic region (country level), device type, and timestamps. We do not collect names, email addresses, birthdays, or any personally identifying information through analytics.

The analytics data is used to understand which content is useful, which pages need improvement, and which tools get the most use, so we can prioritise improvements. It is not used to build profiles of individual users, and it is not sold or shared with third parties for advertising.

Cookies

This site uses minimal cookies. Analytics may set a first-party cookie to distinguish new from returning visitors at an aggregate level; this cookie does not identify you personally and is not used for advertising. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or cross-site tracking cookies. If you prefer not to receive any cookies, you can block them in your browser settings and the site will continue to function normally; the calculators do not depend on cookies.

Email Correspondence

If you email us at the address listed on the contact page, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this information solely to reply to your message. We do not add you to any mailing list without explicit consent, and we do not share your email address with third parties. Email correspondence is retained for as long as needed to handle the conversation and then deleted.

Email Newsletter (If Applicable)

If we launch an email newsletter in the future, subscription will require explicit consent, you will need to enter your email address and confirm via a double opt-in email. You will be able to unsubscribe at any time via a link in every newsletter. We will not add you to the newsletter without your explicit consent, even if you have emailed us for support.

Third-Party Services

This site is hosted on a static-site hosting provider (such as Vercel or Cloudflare Pages) which receives standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for the purpose of serving the site and protecting against abuse. These logs are retained for a limited period and are not associated with your zodiac calculator input, which never reaches the server. We do not use third-party advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, or chat widgets that could leak data to third parties.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The zodiac calculator accepts a birthday as input, but as noted above, this data is processed in the browser and is not transmitted to us. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Your Rights

Because we do not maintain user accounts or store personal data beyond anonymous analytics and email correspondence you initiate, most data-rights requests (access, correction, deletion) are limited to: (a) the content of any email you have sent us, which you can request we delete, and (b) opting out of analytics by blocking cookies in your browser. For any data-related request, contact us via the contact page.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page and adjust the policy text accordingly. Material changes (such as the introduction of a new data collection practice) will be noted at the top of the policy with a brief summary of what changed.
