By accessing or using ChineseZodiac (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site. These terms apply to all visitors regardless of location; users in jurisdictions where any provision is unenforceable should treat that provision as modified only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable.

Use of the Site

You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes: finding your zodiac sign, checking compatibility, reading horoscopes and cultural explainers, and sharing links to pages. You may not:

• Republish substantial portions of the Site's content without attribution or permission;
• Use automated tools to scrape, mirror or republish the Site's content at scale;
• Use the Site's tools in ways that attempt to overload, disrupt or compromise the Site;
• Present the Site's content as your own original work;
• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose in your jurisdiction.

Cultural and Entertainment Content

The Chinese zodiac content on this Site (including personality descriptions, compatibility readings, horoscopes, lucky signs and cultural explanations) is based on traditional Chinese symbolism and folk tradition. It is cultural and entertainment content, provided for self-reflection and cultural interest. It is not:

• Scientific or empirically validated;
• A predictor of personality, fate, or relationship outcomes;
• Professional relationship, medical, financial or legal advice;
• A substitute for consultation with qualified professionals.

Calculator Results

The zodiac calculator is provided as a tool to help you find your sign based on the lunar calendar. It uses precise Lunar New Year dates for 1980–2030 and approximated boundaries for 1900–1979 and 2031–2100 (clearly flagged in the years chart). Results for birthdays in the approximated years, or in late January / early February of any year, may in rare cases differ from other sources that use different conventions (such as LiChun rather than Lunar New Year). The calculator reflects this site's consistently applied Lunar New Year rule.

Intellectual Property

The Site's original content (including text, design, code and data structures) is the property of ChineseZodiac and is protected by applicable copyright laws. The traditional Chinese zodiac framework itself (the 12 animals, the Five Elements, the trines, etc.) is in the public domain as a cultural tradition; our presentation and explanation of that framework is our original work. The Chinese characters and traditional terms used on the Site are part of the public cultural vocabulary and are not claimed as our intellectual property.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. The zodiac content is cultural and entertainment content, not professional advice, and we make no warranty as to its accuracy for any purpose other than cultural interest. You use the Site and its content at your own discretion.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ChineseZodiac shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site or its content, including but not limited to decisions made based on zodiac content, compatibility readings, or horoscope guidance.
